Sarah and Joe’s Ballantyne Country Club wedding kicked off my busy fall wedding season and it was absolutely PERFECT!!! Sarah and Joe are seriously just the sweetest couple, and I had the greatest time getting to know them! I knew that this is going to be one of my favorite weddings right after doing their uptown engagement session, which was so effortless and FUN! These are two kind hearted, loving and charming people and I am just so honored they chose to become MB bride and grooms and join the MB family!
Sarah and Joe’s day started with a city vibe, as we were getting ready uptown. We were surrounded by their best friends and family that are just as darling and fantastic as they are. From there we moved on to Covenant Presbyterian Church for the first look and ceremony. I have to say, Joe’s face when he first saw Sarah, was one of my favorite groom reactions! His smile was so big (you are getting some major husband points here Joe!) and it was just such a remarkable moment.
Their reception was held at the Ballantyne Country Club, and when I walked in there I honestly felt like a kid at a toy store. There were just so many fantastic details to photograph that I got all giddy! Chelsey from Charlotte Fete managed to exceed all my decor expectations. Every little detail was extraordinary and I can honestly say this girl creates DREAM weddings! If me and Ryan ever plan a vow renewal I already know who is going to plan it!
There were seriously so many things that I loved about this wedding!! Sarah’s infectious laugh, the way Joe’s eyes lit up when he looks at her, their sweet love to each other, but one of my FAVORITE parts was the toasts!! There is something about the wedding toasts, that lets us the photographers feel like we are a part of the family. It gives us a description of our couple from the eyes of their most favorite people, and I just love that so much. Art, Sarah’s dad, gave one of the most phenomenal toasts I have ever heard at a wedding. It seriously made me laugh and tear up at the same time (and yes, I am able to take photos while I cry). And just as I thought that it can’t get any better – Taylor – Sarah’s sister stole the show, and gave HANDS DOWN, the best MOH speech in the history of weddings. If I ever need public speaking classes, I know who to ask 🙂
Sarah and Joe, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me the privilege of being the one to document your incredible, beautiful, joy filled wedding. For letting me get to know you both, and for being so sweet, kind, and so fun to be around! 🙂
